Fertility Reflexology

Fertility Reflexology is a particularly successful holistic therapy when used in conjunction with a healthy diet and lifestyle. Apart from relaxation and stress reduction it can also boost blood circulation, help balance hormones and regulate the menstrual cycle. One in six couples in the U.K. experience difficulty conceiving with unexplained causes. Focus points during a fertility treatment will include the ovaries, fallopian tubes, uterus as well as working the nervous system to relax and the endocrine system to balance hormones. It can also be useful to work the Psoas muscle (significant back muscle that runs from your lower back through the pelvis to the top of the femur). A tight Psoas can restrict blood flow, cause pain in the ovaries, impinge reproductive nerves and cause misalignment of ovaries.

Maternity Reflexology

Reflexology is a safe, relaxing, supportive treatment for women during pregnancy. As I am Level 5 clinically trained, I have studied reflexology during pregnancy and am fully qualified to carry out the treatment. Reflexology during pregnancy can alleviate discomfort arising from hormonal and physiological imbalances and restore equilibrium. Reflexology can help support the body to prepare for birth and promote relaxation at a time when anxiety levels are often high. It is important to take time for you and ensure that your mind and body are balanced before welcoming your baby.

Menopause Reflexology

Reflexology can support your journey through peri menopause and menopause. The menopause is a natural change in the female reproductive system that generally occurs between the ages of 45-55 although some women experience symptoms earlier. The ovaries production of the hormones oestrogen and progesterone slows. The body reacts to the loss of hormones through several symptoms:
  • Hot flushes
  • Night sweats
  • Tiredness
  • Depression
  • Weight gain
  • Anxiety
  • Poor concentration
  • Memory lapses
Reflexology can support your body and mind through this transition by encouraging balance through the endocrine (hormonal) system, relieving stress and tension, regulating sleep, calming the mind and regulating the nervous system. Regular reflexology treatments can encourage your mind to become more in tune with your body.
